Hydrangeas are also known as Chrismas Roses in South Africa. As indicated by the name, this plant flowers during Christmas. A close-up was taken of a flower head (the first image in the series) and then manipulated electronicalky to create various versions. To appreciate the different version, it is necessary to open a larger version (click on the “Small screen” or “Large screen” of the relevant image) since the thumbnails only give an indication of the actual image.

Select the image and size (Small screen: 15” and smaller; Large screen: 15” en larger) that you want as wallpaper for your computer screen.  Installation instructions here.

Instructions

The images for smaller screen (15” and smaller) are 800x600 pixels while those for larger screen (15” and larger) are 1024x768 pixels in size.

For Windows 95 or later:

1. Determine the correct size for your screen.
2. Click the appropriate size below the image you want to use as wallpaper.
3. After the image has been displayed in anew window, right-click on the image with the mouse.
4. Select “Set as wallpaper” from the menu that appears.

2. Click the appropriate size below the image you want to use as wallpaper.
3. After the image has been displayed in a new window, pull it to the desktop.
4. From the Apple menu, select  “Control Panels”, then “Desktop Pictures” or “Appearance | Desktop”.
5. If necessary, click  “Remove Picture” to remove your current wallpaper.
6. Select “Select Picture” or “Place Picture” and find and click on the file with the chosen wallpaper.
7. Click “OK” or “Choose”.
8. Click “Set desktop”.
